We arrived in Port Villa, Vanuatu a week before Tajana and Nathan’s wedding to find ourselves in a week of tropical island rain! But on Tajana and Nathan’s big day the weather was gorgeous! Their big day was a tropical, colourful and altogether beautiful island wedding! Relaxed and full of fun, the couple said their vows on a small island at Le Lagoon Resort with traditional island music played by a Vanuatu band in their traditional costume. The ceremony included an “attack” by Vanuatu tribesmen, a few tears when saying their I do’s, and smiles all around from guests and witnesses to this wonderful couple’s wedding.

Being such an absolutely beautiful place, Vanuatu and Le Lagoon Resort had no shortage of great spots for wedding photographs, and we had so much fun walking around the resort and by the stunning blue water. The couple had their reception on the golf course at Le Lagon Resort under the stars (stars you don’t see in the city). Like the entire day, a relaxed atmosphere and lots of laughter carried on into the night. The reception included lots of singing from family who had travelled all the way from New Zealand and a Haka! We had such a fantastic time and are so grateful to have been a part of the lovely Tajana and Nathan’s wedding day. We sure are lucky!
