You might think “where have you been lately? The blog is empty? Well the truth is Lara and I went to our beautiful home country, South Africa, to get married. The special date was the 18th of December, 2010 and everything was just so amazing. Getting married is a once in a lifetime happening and we have to say everything on our big day was perfect. The weather, venue, guests, food and the lists goes on. Even the wind was perfect, which can be rare in Cape Town. We got married at the beautiful Palmiet Valley Estate just outside Paarl. We had our honeymoon in Camps Bay, Cape Town for the next week where our amazing photographer Rensche Van Dyk met up with us again for our trash the dress session. We both loved working with Rensche, she rocks! Rensche had to fly in from Johannesburg and everyone will agree that she did the most amazing job ever. All our family members raved about her and she made everyone feel so comfortable.

And now as a married wedding photography couple we can give you some advice. Every couple will have different priorities and ideas for their big day, each wedding we have been fortunate enough to photograph has been different and beautiful. But the day really does go soo fast, so we more than ever appreciate investing in a good photographer to capture the day. After ages of planning, our big day was over before we knew it, but the amazing photos will last us a lifetime.
